$120 Billion a year to treat US obesity problems

MSNBC - Health for Life M.D.: "Americans spend more than $30 billion a year on weight-loss products and services, yet nearly two thirds of them remain overweight or obese. The federal government last month released specific dietary guidelines for healthy eating, but Americans still spend an estimated $120 billion a year on junk food-about the same amount that it costs to treat obesity-related problems like heart disease, hypertension and diabetes in the United States."
